What we collect

When you comment or rate an article, we store the name you provide, your comment text, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (used only to detect abuse — the original IP is never stored). We do not require an account to comment or rate.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie for security, a theme preference cookie (light/dark), and an anonymous voter-token cookie that prevents the same browser from rating an article more than once. None of these are used for cross-site advertising tracking by us directly.

Google AdSense

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Google reCAPTCHA

Comment and contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
